What are the consequences of a default record in SIMAH?
A default record in SIMAH affects your credit record, reducing available financing options, and may lead to legal claims for repayment and vehicle repossession.
Can someone collect the vehicle on my behalf?
Yes, a legal power of attorney can be created, specifying the principal's name and vehicle details (license plate number, chassis number, model, and type). The purpose of the power of attorney must be clearly stated and approved by Abdul Latif Jameel. If the power of attorney is issued abroad, it must be certified by the Ministry of Justice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
What should I do if 24 hours have passed and my data hasn't been updated?
Contact the company via the toll-free number 8002442211 to open a ticket for processing the data update issue.
How can I remove a previous default?
The default will be removed automatically after five years without the need for the company's intervention, and the amount will be updated to fully paid upon settling the dues.
When is a default recorded in SIMAH?
Non-payment for more than 180 days negatively impacts your credit record and may hinder your ability to obtain financing products in the future. Ensure timely payments to avoid any negative effects on your credit history.
If I pay extra amounts, can I get them back?
Yes, you can submit a refund request by visiting one of the branches.
How do I submit a request for a refund of additional amounts?
Visit any company branch and submit a "refund" request, providing your IBAN for the refund.
How do I submit an early payment request?
Submit an early payment request through your personal account on the company's platform by selecting the vehicle purchase service. After payment, the Lease Contract will be canceled, and you can request the transfer of ownership to the intended owner. (The lessee or a third party).
If my vehicle is repossessed and I haven't made a payment, will additional fees be charged?
Yes, towing fees and storage fees will be charged, with the storage fees calculated for each day from the date of repossession.
When is an execution request for a promissory note submitted to the execution court?
The request is submitted if the customer fails to make three consecutive payments or five separate payments.
How can I make a payment if I am being pursued by legal entities?
You can make a payment through any branch of the company or via the execution court.
Why is the execution request value at the execution court not matching the amount of overdue payments?
The value of the execution claim is the full value of the promissory note, which includes several monthly installments based on the guarantees agreed upon in the financing contract.
How can I submit a request to reschedule the final payment?
You can submit the request through your personal account on the company's platform by selecting the service for rescheduling the final payment.
Will my delay in payment affect my record with Abdul Latif Jameel when submitting a rescheduling request?
Yes, it will lead to the rejection of the request to reschedule the final payment.
If I have more than one financing product, will it affect my request to reschedule the final payment?
Yes, it will affect the request if the total of all monthly obligations, including the new installment, exceeds the legally permitted deduction from the customer's salary.
My request to reschedule the final payment was rejected without any reason. What should I do?
If a request to reschedule the final payment is rejected, the reason will be noted in the request window, such as (expired license - financial obligations exceeding the legally permitted limit - customer in default). For more details, contact the toll-free number 8002442211.
How can I submit a request to add a driver?
You can apply for the additional driver service by logging into your account on the company's platform, selecting the main menu, then electronic services, and choosing the additional driver service.
How can I know the fees when applying for the service?
Upon applying, the amount will be added during the payment process.
Are there any fees associated with this service?
Yes, there are fees for the service as follows: for contracts issued before July 21, 2020, the fees vary based on the age of the authorized driver. No service fees are required for contracts issued on or after July 21, 2020.
Can I apply for the additional driver service if the contract is canceled?
This service is only for active contracts; ownership must be transferred if the contract is canceled.
I selected a duration of five months to authorize the additional driver, but the electronic platform rejects the extension. Why?
When extending the authorization, ensure the driving license, vehicle registration, and contract are valid. Any expired document shall result in the authorization being rejected, so select an authorization period that matches their validity.
Is a valid Saudi driving license required for the authorized driver?
Yes, a valid Saudi driving license is mandatory, and it must not be temporary or a learner's permit.
Does the actual user need to initiate a request for driving authorization?
No, the registered user does not need to submit a driving authorization request.
What is the maximum period allowed for additional driver authorization?
Only one (1) year.
Who bears the responsibility for renewal fees—the company or the customer?
The company covers government fees for renewing registrations under contracts issued before January 1, 2018, if the registration expires during the contract's validity. If the registration expires after the contract ends, the customer must pay the renewal fees.
I attempted to renew the registration, but my contract status is listed as canceled. How should I proceed with the renewal request?
The renewal service is available only for active contracts. For canceled contracts, access the ownership transfer service to renew the registration and transfer ownership.
Is it necessary to obtain a valid insurance policy for the vehicle at the time of renewal?
A new insurance policy is not needed for active contracts since a valid one exists. For canceled contracts, the customer must obtain a new policy in the transferee's name to complete the renewal and ownership transfer.
Is a valid periodic inspection report required to renew the vehicle’s registration?
Yes, a valid periodic inspection report is one of the requirements for registration renewal.
Is the customer responsible for covering the late renewal fee?
The customer pays such fees due to the failure to submit the registration renewal request.
What is the penalty amount for a late registration renewal?
It is SR 100 per year, up to a maximum of three years, totaling SR 300.
What does the "Delay Penalty" fee indicate in the renewal service details?
It is a government charge applicable if the registration expiration period exceeds 60 days without renewal.
Why must the beneficiary's name and bank account number be provided in the registration renewal request?
To process a refund to the bank account in the event of a rejection or cancellation of the request, it is advisable to provide the bank account details of the contract holder.
How can I remove the current user of the vehicle before completing the ownership transfer?
The previous owner is automatically removed when the vehicle ownership is transferred.
I need the company's commercial registration number to pay government fees for the ownership transfer service. How can I obtain it?

Does the company contact customers by phone to verify the code from Abdul Latif Jameel Financing Company for ownership transfer?
Yes, a verification code will be sent from the traffic system with vehicle details and instructions. The customer must provide this code to the representative to complete the transfer in the traffic system.
My request was returned due to unpaid government fees, but I paid the service fees using the payment number. What might be the issue?
In addition to service fees, government fees must be paid for vehicle ownership transfer. These payments can be made through your bank by selecting "Government Payments" and "Vehicle Ownership Transfer."
Where can I review the conditions and requirements for vehicle ownership transfer before applying?
Log into your account on the company’s online platform, select "Electronic Services," and review the terms and conditions listed under the ownership transfer service.
Can I proceed with the ownership transfer if I have received a service suspension decision?
Ownership transfer cannot proceed for individuals with a service suspension decision in place. Once the suspension is lifted, or if transferring to another person, the ownership transfer can be completed.
How can I correct an incorrect mobile number entered in the ownership transfer request?
For corrections to an incorrect mobile number, please call the toll-free number 8002442211 and submit a "Communication Request" ticket to update the number.

Yes, there is Sharia-compliant Takaful insurance that covers both the customer and the property, with exemptions in case of death or total disability, God forbid, and the transfer of the property directly to the heirs, according to the insurance coverage criteria.

The company assesses the property's value with the assistance of valuation companies that have been endorsed by the company.

In this case, you must immediately repay the principal amounts due according to the early repayment terms, and the company will transfer property ownership to you or to another party as per your request.

What is leasing?
A contract under which the Company retains the leased asset (ownership of the car) until the end of the contract and the payment of all staggered lease payments. The Guest has the right to use the car in exchange for agreed monthly lease payments to the Company. The Guest is entitled to own the car after paying of all payments and all the terms of the contract which includes the Residual Value, or the Guest can return the car to the Company at the end of the lease term if he does not wish to own it.
Can I take the vehicle outside the Kingdom during the lease term?

Can I buy my leased car before termination date?
Your financial lease agreement allows you to pre-pay and purchase your vehicle. If you wish to exercise this option, please contact the any branch for additional assistance. This transaction needs to be facilitated through the branch. A voluntary early purchase option fee, together with title, and license registration fees shall apply.
Can I also finance the residual value (last payment)?
Yes, you can refinance the last payment for 24 to 36 months, if the total original period of the contract and refinancing do not exceed 72 months in accordance with the terms and conditions.
Can I own the car before the end of contract? In addition, is there any amount that I should pay?
Yes, you can. However, you will have to pay the rest of the car value in addition to the three monthly payments to fund the cost of early closing of the contract after deduction of previous payments.

Will you ask me for down payment in certain situations?
The monthly payment must meet the 30% of the guest salary. In case the monthly payment is more than 30% of the salary, we will calculate the difference as a down payment, as well as in some occasions ALJUF will request for a down payment when the terms are not complied with instead of rejecting the application

The residual value or final payment is the amount for which you may purchase the vehicle at the end of the lease, if you decide so.
What is Car by Murabaha?
It is structured under the shariah principle of Murabaha where ALJUF buys the car from the seller first and post-acquisition sells the car to the customer over the agreed period (cost plus profit). You own the car during and after the financing term.

During the repair period, will the company provide me with a substitute vehicle?
No. Unless the workshop has exceeded the estimated time communicated to you to repair the vehicle or as a result of the manufacturer's warranty repair. Under these specific limited conditions the company reserves the right to monetarily compensate you.
